Apple released WatchOS 2.0.1 late Wednesday afternoon. The new software update follows the release of WatchOS 2, which included major new features such as Time Time travel and native Apple Watch apps. This smaller software release brings a slew of bug fixes and performance enhancements to make the Watch experience smoother. New fixes include improved location updating, better calendar syncing, and better battery performance. The new version of WatchOS also includes support for the highly anticipated new emoji selections.
To download and install WatchOS 2.0.1, simply open the companion Watch app on iPhone, select the general menu, and open the software update window. Apple Watch must be charged to at least 50% and be placed on its charger.
